The New Human Operating System
I was at the Oracle’s Rebellion Conference in Glasgow and then Uranus entered Gemini. You can get the lowdown on the astrology of this once in a lifetime event from Hermitage Hub member Jennifer here. For me it means one thing: The Revenge of the Binary.
We live in strange times, seemingly because people have forgotten how to disagree agreeably. But I think it’s really because humans are running completely different, and incompatible, Operating Systems.
The version of the Human Operating System (hoS) you are running has got nothing to do with your numbers, or your planets, or the lines on your hand. It is a matter of consciousness and awareness. It is all about how you view and travel through life and the world at a fundamental level. It is your most basic inner architecture, and it is so deeply embedded that most of us don’t even know it is there. It is your basic life orientation, and in most of us it is sub-conscious.
I would suggest that there are three (perhaps four) versions of the Human Operating System (hOS).
hOS 1.0 people look at things linearly. Life, the world and everybody in it, to these people, is a journey from birth to death and not much else. hOS 1.0 people are big believers in progress, that you begin as a novice, then become a student, then a master, that you live with your parents then you get a job and live by yourself, meet someone then live with them. One step leads, inevitably and obviously, to the next one. Problems, challenges and difficulties are unwelcome to the hOS 1.0 person, and only exist as things to be cleared away so that the journey to their desired destination can continue. Life, for such people, is a competition and a matter of endurance, and there is very little to learn along the way.
hOS 1.0 people see society as a long journey from less rights to more rights, from authoritarian tyrannies to open and joyous democracies, from stone tablets to computer tablets, where everything, over the long run, gets better. These are the people who always take the latest supplements and enthusiastically read about the latest discoveries. They believe they are on a road, even though that road is, as the great philosopher David Byrne once said, a road to nowhere.
hOS 2.0 people, on the other hand, see life cyclically, and many such people are female, which makes sense when you consider the woman’s innate experience of a monthly cycle. The trouble is that hOS 2.0 people tend to see the whole world in terms of cycles, that we go from A to Z and round to A again. They believe in progress even more fervently than hOS 1.0 people because they see a patriarchy being replaced by a matriarchy, which of course, is a good thing, right? Except the operative part of the words patriarchy and matriarchy is -archy, from archons, which means rulers. Under both systems you are still being ruled! The entire idea that a matriarchy, was, or will be, better than a patriarchy pre-supposes that power, in the hands of women rather than men, will be used more responsibly. Yet the age-old maxim remains unchanged, that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Humans will have to find this out for themselves, indeed many are already doing so.
Anyway, both hOS 1.0 and hOS 2.0 are profoundly limiting ways of looking at the world, but it might be argued that the flaws in hOS 2.0 are what plague the world most greatly today. Under the hOS 2.0 view, white supremacy is replaced with black supremacy and called racial justice, patriarchy replaced with matriarchy and called gender equality, colonisers are colonised and it’s called liberation, economies are bankrupted and its called redistribution. Yes, hOS 2.0 facilitates a dirty lie, that a turning of the wheel brings improvement for all, when all it really does is cast those at the top down, while bringing those at the bottom up. If you are one of the ones lifted up by the turning of the wheel you will very much like it of course, though those being cast down may say it looks very much like revenge. And of course the big question is rarely asked, and even more rarely answered - who, precisely, is turning the wheel?
Now, hang on a goddam minute you might say. hOS 1.0 (life as linear), and hOS 2.0 (life as cyclical), are true though, are they not?
Well, yes, they are.
It’s just that they are incomplete.
And that they are both used by bad actors to push agendas. The entire farce of the response to Covid-19, especially the vaccinations, was born of the progressive thinking of hOS 1.0 and 2.0. We were once in the caves and died from simple diseases in our teens, and now we have Science ™ and Education ™ so we don’t have to do that, right? Wrong.
hOS 1.0 and 2.0, the linear and the cyclical, are poor ways of viewing life, ways which keep you trapped and limited. Fortunately though there is an upgrade, hOS 3.0, the multi-dimensional world, to see life as a maze.
If we can see that life is neither simply a straight line nor a cyclical rotation and is in fact a journey through a maze then we also see that although sometimes parts of the maze look linear, and parts of it look cyclical, something more profound is taking place.
The essence of hOS 3.0 is that life goes sideways, that freaky stuff happens and knocks into new situations, and as it does this we head further and deeper into a maze. We build this maze up by our own thoughts and beliefs and actions, but it is also built for us by the beliefs and actions of others. The maze is 3D at minimum, but it might be 4, 5 or 6D, even though there is no way to see such things with our eyes.
hOS 3.0 is a truer depiction of the reality of life, it’s just that hOS 1.0 and 2.0 people can’t see it. You can’t play the latest games on an iPhone from 10 years ago and it’s the same here, with humans.
In the Maze of Life, which the hOS 3.0 person can perceive, the only progress that counts is that of increasing awareness of the existence of the maze, alongside the fact that the way out is the way through! There is no social, economic, racial or political progress that matters a damn, and the one who walks the maze knowing it’s a maze will pass all sorts of people with banners and placards who believe themselves to be advancing toward the exit when in fact they are just getting more and more disorientated and lost.
Now, when you install and start running hOS 3.0 you instantly perceive one important thing – freedom. No more running head long into a brick wall like hOS 1.0 people do, nor round and round in circles like hOS 2.0 people do. No, hOS 3.0 is much more interesting. But of course there is a snag, people running 1.0 and 2.0 think that people running 3.0 are not just crazy, but evil and destructive. If you are unsure about the truth of this try going up to some Free Palestine protestors and tell them that their cause is hypocritical because they are advocating for exactly the same treatment of others that they are protesting about themselves. Or try it with some anti-Trump No Kings protestors, so fervent in their belief in democracy and fairness and kindness that they are happy to see Trump’s head blown off . Then you will see how tolerant and sophisticated hOS 1.0 and 2.0 people really are.
hOS 3.0 is not only incompatible with 1.0 and 2.0, it’s a threat. Life as linear or cyclical are not just ways of seeing the world, they are ways of seizing and holding power. hOS 2.0 people have weaponised their world view, presenting the kinds of change they want to see, and will benefit from, as good, right and above all inevitable. This is the big lie of all people who believe in progress, they present it as something you cannot resist. Except you can, because it’s an illusion.
Upgrading to hOS 3.0 is the way to go, though it is not easy, because it requires action. The only way to move through a maze is to move through the maze, making decisions about whether to turn left or right as you meet them, according to your best available methods. Maze-awareness, running hOS 3.0, forces you back on yourself, to lean hard on your own inner resources. This is why most people put up with running hOS 1.0 or 2.0 because they don’t have to do anything or make any decisions, because progress will take care of everything for them. Those running 1.0 or 2.0 did not question for one second whether to get the Covid-19 vaccinations, because progress, right? But those running hoS 3.0 (or even those attempting to install it) could see that all was not as it seemed to be.
Maze-awareness, hOS 3.0, recognises that life is sometimes linear and sometimes cyclical but that it isn’t solely either of those. In hOS 3.0 you still try to attain goals (linear) and will keep coming around to meet yourself (cyclical), but you are also doing much more than that, you are living a life which is more free, more interesting and undoubtedly more dangerous.
Maze-awareness forces choice, with all its consequences, the phantoms known as success and failure, which in turn expand awareness. In other words, life is better understood by living it, and not trying to second guess it. Linearity (hOS 1.0) and cyclicality (hOS 2.0) breed passivity, nihilism and depression, and when their falsity is demonstrated, anger and resentment. And that is where most people today are, running hOS 1.0 or 2.0 in the knowledge that support for those operating systems is soon coming to an end, but not wanting to upgrade. The entire anti-Trump movement is rooted in a failure to understand that there is no such thing as progress, that it doesn’t exist, never did, and was only sold to us by those who wanted to take power for themselves.
Life is not a progressive journey towards Aquarian bliss, and the belief in such is a sure marker for hOS 2.0. It is in fact a maze. You can navigate it, but only by action. Trying to know, before you go, destroys life, almost as completely as trusting ‘experts’.
hOS 3.0 is a way of viewing the world from above, but also of living it day-to-day from within. You can’t be propagandised if you are running hOS 3.0, and when you have been doing that for a while you might consider upgrading again to hOS 4.0, which will involve use of The Divine Compass and complete dissolution of that maze (which is, of course, just another illusion ;-)). More on that coming soon, it won’t be long now.
Many thanks to the late sci-fi author Philip K Dick for the inspiration for hOS 3.0. He called it orthogonal (right-angled), and it was his way of assimilating and understanding the intense spiritual experiences he had in February and March 1974.
