2026: The Time of Fire

It has been clear to me for many, many years that our society, indeed our whole civilisation, has been on profoundly the wrong track. It's not that things were good pre-Covid or pre-Trump or pre-Brexit and then somehow went sideways. It is that we have all lived through a time where certain narrow interest groups have seized control of the levers of power, outside the democratic process, and set about installing their own agenda. This movement has been well supported by the billionaire class, but it has not been led by them, they are just along for the profit, hoping that the crocodile eats them last. This movement, poisonous in every respect to the human soul, may be broadly termed as progressive and has almost completely destroyed Western society. Now, such a feat having been achieved, under the noses of a sleeping population, there is the chance of a reckoning.

2026 is the Year of Fire, because, numerologically, 2+0+2+6 = 10 = 1.

The 10 (the Wheel of Fortune in the Tarot) indicates a fresh start and a turning of the page. Those who were up will now be cast down, those who were down will now be lifted up. Such is the nature of life.

The 1 corresponds to the classical element Fire. Fire burns and destroys, but it also disinfects and enlightens.

2026 (from 17th February) will also be the year of the Fire Horse, in Chinese astrology.

2026 therefore arrives to burn away much of what has been dominant and prominent in the last two decades. In short, 2026 is where the Western world re-encounters reality and is offered a chance to escape from the insanity that has enveloped it. Though this will ultimately be a great thing, it may not initially be seen as such, and many will dislike the changes which are unleashed.

The Time of Fire makes it imperative that each of us goes our own way. In the Time of Fire those who follow get burned, while those who break away from the crowd become their own light.

The 1-ness of 2026 will be met, on February 20th, by an extremely rare planetary alignment, where Saturn (the planet of restriction) conjuncts Neptune (the planet of dreams) at the most important point in the zodiac, 0 degrees Aries. This phenomenon is practically unheard of in all recorded history and signals an epochal change in human affairs. Such a fundamental transition won't occur with the flick of a switch, and we are already deep in its zone of influence, but once the Rubicon is crossed, on 20th February, nothing will be the same again, and it will be up to each individual to be, well, individual, or to be absorbed by the Hive Mind.

The 1-ness that is encoded in the year 2026 matters because, fundamentally, we each come into this world alone, walk through it alone, and pass out from it alone. I know that's a hard truth that many will refuse to acknowledge, but the time of hearing about how collectives, tribes or communities are the foundational building blocks of society is over, because it was all a lie. Recent years have shown, for those with eyes to see, how communities so easily become the tools of oppression, rapidly weaponised to shame people, hide the truth and oppress the spirit. The incessant narrative about the plight of minorities is also over, or at least will be challenged, for the truth is that the greatest minority in all the world is the individual.

No matter your skin colour, ethnicity, religion or gender, everyone is unique. Your hair, your eyes, your fingerprints, your skin, your DNA, all of these are different from anyone else. There has never been anyone quite like you, and there never will be ever again. Yet all that anyone has wanted to do in the past two decades is to speak and think in terms of group identity, and to ensure others fall in line with the herd. The Time of Fire comes now to burn that all away. The old ways won't disappear quietly of course, or without resistance.

It is absolutely true that uniqueness can be mistaken for selfishness and lived from the Ego. It is also true that this is how much of humanity sees it. But it can be lived divinely from the Soul, and chances to do this will appear in 2026.

If you lean into your uniqueness from your Ego you will never listen to anyone else, always think yourself better than others and be of no use to society.

But if you lean into your uniqueness from your Soul then you will provide a service to humanity in a way that no-one else can, doing something, that without you, would not get done.

Human uniqueness is foundational. No-one knows what's really going on in someone else's heart, or mind, and when others talk of things that we ourselves had never thought of or heard before then we have a choice. The Ego might choose to take offence, and to try to shut down the person who is speaking the dangerous new ideas. But the Soul will see new information, even if it is spiky and challenging, as an opportunity to learn. The Ego is threatened by difference, but the Soul loves it, and knows that there is no such thing as the 'correct response' to any of the events or happenings in the world.

All this matters more than ever because a war has been waged against the individual, and this - above all other things - is the most dangerous threat facing humanity, because if you are not an individual then what really are you? A servant of the powerful, locked into your appointed slot in the Hive Mind, that's what.

Of course, this war on the individual is not always obvious to spot, because in a million ways we have never had more freedom of choice. But that's the con of the last two decades; everyone got to choose from a million-item-menu of things that don't matter, while having no choice at all about the things that do.

The Aries-ness of 2026 makes the energy of the year Martian and martial. As such war seems almost certain, in some form or another, but rather than issue a series of specific predictions for 2026 I will simply suggest that you unplug from the Hive Mind, resign from the so-called 'Collective' and go your own way. This begins simply, by finding what you are good at and doing it a lot, and by ceasing to pay attention to authority.

To be parochial for one moment; the UK government possesses power but no moral authority. It lies ten times a day, arrests and imprisons people for thoughts and speech which run against its approved narrative, and in area after area does precisely the opposite of what it said it would do. By cancelling elections and restricting access to jury trials it has broken faith with the people. What is going on in Britain is not normal, and it is not just political intrigue. The country is in a historically unprecedented situation, and the state of the nation is completely unsustainable. That is Britain 2026, but the situation is little better in France or Germany, to name but two of many.

This is spirituality, not politics, because there is a power (and powers) above and greater than governments, which renders human laws inferior to cosmic ones. History is riddled with long periods where that fact seemed not to matter, and every one of them ended with a recollection that it does. Such is the world we are now entering.

The 1-ness, fieriness and Mars-ness of 2026 brings a masculine energy into play, reminding us that, fundamentally, men and women live in separate worlds, and that any attempt to fuse those two worlds into one, according to the needs of only one, will be a tyranny. It's been a patriarchy for a long time, and that has not been good. But the last two decades have shown us that a matriarchy will be no better, and for many, including women themselves, it might even be worse. The problem with both patri-archy and matri-archy is that whichever one you choose you are still inside an -archy, in other words you are still being ruled, and therefore are not free.

Of course, none of this will be apparent to those for whom the approved narrative is all that matters. Yet, the Time of Fire is also the Time of Light, and matters which have been unclear, inconsistent, contradictory, fussy-edged or opaque may well become very clear and very stark. This will occur personally, in individual lives, and also at large in our societies.

I first came across references to the New Age in my tentative teenage occult meanderings, through the phenomena known as the Harmonic Convergence in 1987. Ever since then I cannot remember a time when people haven't been talking about the imminent arrival of a better world. On one particular occasion, I think in 2010 or 2011, I gave an unusually well attended talk about 2012 and the Mayan Calendar where I claimed that 2012 would not be the start of a New Age and that nothing exceptional would happen that year. Suffice to say my message was not welcomed, and I should have known that really, for the human urge to believe that Love and Light can reign effortlessly, starting tomorrow at 9am, is deep. But it is also flawed, and really nothing more than a delusion, induced or exaggerated by the trauma of modern living for sure, but nonetheless empty.

2026 will be a Year of Light, but not, I think, of Love. If there is any candidate for the actual start of the New Age it is 2026, with its unprecedented planetary alignments and numerological match-up. But it won't be the hippy paradise that so many, for so long, have wished for because humanity is not ready for such a thing. There are some exceptions, but overall we are a low-vibration species under the control of forces most of us don't even acknowledge as existing. There is a Way Out, and it's called the Way Through, but it is narrow and found by individuals, for themselves, after much effort, and no amount of Collective Om makes a scrap of difference, in fact if anything such activities might simply render the inhabitant of the prison more comfortable in the cell which they call Life.

For those who want to find the Way Out then knowledge of Fire is essential. There are two types. First, there is the plain old fire that burns, the properties of which were discovered long ago. But then there is also the lesser-known Cosmic Fire, which burns. If you wish to see the world as it is, not as your Ego wishes it to be, or as the Hive Mind pretends it to be, then rub your palms together vigorously and place them over your open eyes, covering them completely. Allow the heat from your palms to penetrate your open eyes, rolling them around in their sockets for maximum effect. Take care though, for this is not a beginner’s tool, and is only for those who really want to see. It’s perfectly safe to do, so long as you are prepared to have your view, on the fundamentals of life, changed. If you are not willing to do this then the practice is highly dangerous.

So, that’ll do I think. Will it be a good year? To a large extent that is up to you, dependent on the attitude you take and the forces with which you align.
