Merry England 2.0

I was mysteriously awoken from sleep recently by the words of the esteemed, English born spiritual teacher John Parr. In a very clear and distinct voice he told me to

“Play the game, you know you can’t quit until it’s won. Solider on, only you can do what must be done. You know in some way you’re a lot like me, you’re just a prisoner and you’re trying to break free.”

As the accompanying music became louder he continued his words of wisdom with a reminder that ‘St Elmo’s Fire was burning in me.” Well, that woke me up.

Strange though this was, it was perfectly timed because

2024: Accelerate!

Everyone seems to be in the prediction game these days. At least that how it seems. In reality what we now have is a strong and growing appetite for people to outwardly project their own desires and fantasies (and sometimes fears) into the world, to create them as the reality which everyone else must inhabit, and to call that prediction. You see this in 1-2-1 predictive readings, as well as among many who claim to be able to see the future. What they in fact see is the future they secretly want (or privately fear). Rarely, these days, do we encounter people with genuine clairvoyance (clear sightedness).

50 not out

I celebrated my 50th birthday last year, and am currently experiencing another important milestone, my Chiron Return. This occurs when the planet (that isn’t a planet) Chiron returns to the position it occupied at birth, bringing with it the opportunity for deep, inner transformation and healing. It takes fifty years to travel round the entire chart, so I probably won’t see another one, and that’s what makes it special. Of course, being aware of this sometime in advance I set things up so that I could max out this magical portal, and I am happy to report that so far it’s been a very rich and beneficial, though occasionally challenging, experience.

2023: Science and Spirituality. Can you really have both?

The foundations of a good, spiritual life are HEALTH and TRUTH. Without these you are destined to remain locked in your Body-Mind-Feelings machine, not living, but existing, doing as others tell you, devoid of any connection to your own meaning and purpose.

The Body-Mind-Feelings machine is the vehicle that the Soul travels in. This is how spiritual beings get to have human experiences, through the transport of the Body-Mind-Feelings. This has been true forever, and it’s always been a struggle between the Soul and Body-Mind-Feelings as to which runs the show. This struggle is called spiritual development, the process of steadily placing the Soul back in charge. And it’s a struggle that is ongoing…

Problems with The New Age

I hope you have been hard at work stripping yourself of any lingering illusions about the state of the world. I certainly have been, and while much of what I uncovered is reserved for future writings, there is something I have recently come to a much stronger realisation about – the New Age. Now, those of you who used to follow me on Facebook (before I left it in disgust in 2016) may remember that I used to write an occasional series called Problems with the New Age. Well, here is a reboot of that.

First, what precisely is the New Age?

A God called FANG

It should be clear by now that the 21st century is going to be a time of immense change and disruption. Some will see this as a good thing, but others not so much. Plus, there will be a load of people who just will not care either way.

The 22 years of this century have so far brought us 9/11, the Financial Crisis, Isis, Brexit, Trump, and Corona. All this is disruption enough, but none of these things have altered the world as much as the advance of technology. In fact, technology facilitated all those things…

Sameness is the problem. Uniqueness is the cure.

Uniqueness is the reason Coronavirus affects people differently; why one person feels crap for two days before bouncing back, while another gets put on a respirator. Everyone is different.

Uniqueness is the reason for vaccine side effects. Give two people the same dose of the same vaccine in the same place at the same time and one will skip out of the room and the other will be carried out in a trolley. Everyone is different. And denial of uniqueness is the reason side effects are under-reported. People who do not understand human uniqueness, who think we are all just blades of grass, cannot grasp how Dave reacts one way while Steve reacts another.

I finally realised...

I finally realised. The other day, in a flash of light, I finally understood what spirituality was really all about.

Spirituality is not just about love, light and peace. It is about rebellion. At its core spirituality requires that you reject earthly authority.

You cannot claim to be spiritual if you comply with anything that runs counter to your conscience. In short, if you do as you are told by those in earthly power then you aren’t following God, you are giving way to fear. And compliance is the exact opposite of spirituality.

Aquarian Politics, Wokeness and The Slide into Authoritarianism

On reading this title you might say that you are not interested in politics and just want to learn about spirituality. Me too! But spirituality has been made political to such an extent that you can read an innocent sounding book or attend a perfectly ordinary course entitled something like Spirituality 101: A Beginners Guide and without knowing it be thrust head long into the world of politics.

Location. Location. Location

Once upon a time the questions most frequently asked of me during readings and consultations were “does he love me?” and “is he coming back to me?”

Then, as the years passed, the questions became more about work and career. Relationships still figure high on peoples list of concerns, but not anywhere to the degree they used to. A shift has occurred, perhaps in me, certainly in the people I meet.

We Are NOT One

Not long ago I had a conversation with someone who identified as super-enlightened, and who firmly asserted, with unwarranted confidence, that all the problems of the world could be solved in an instant if only everyone would accept the fact that We Are One.

Sameness and Uniqueness

There is no one else quite like you.

This becomes clear if you examine yourself in the mirror for five seconds. There is no one else on the planet who has the same eyes, skin, hair, teeth or fingerprints as you.

People do not just disagree. They live in different realities. Of course, many people want to hold onto (or resurrect) the old ways of “this is the one and only answer/way/truth” but that time has gone, and it is not coming back.

Are you Wise or Woke?

Every period of history produces wise people. But only this century, this decade, the last few years, has produced people who are woke. By now everyone must have heard this word, used to describe those who have achieved a state of enlightenment and knowledge which enables them to magically see oppression, inequality, and injustice in ways that previous generations were blind to.

The Dark Side of the Age of Aquarius

There is an idea going around that humanity stands on the brink of a New Age in which unfairness, injustice, greed and discrimination will be swept to one side and a new order of fairness, equity, peace and human rights will prevail.

It is hard to say precisely where this belief originated. Perhaps it is an outgrowth of the anticipated Second Coming of the Messiah? Perhaps it’s a hangover from the peace and love vibes of the 1960’s? But wherever the idea comes from it now permeates our entire society. Everyone can see that everything is changing.
